"Paradise Mudgee" is blessed with a wonderful range of Australian wildlife. We like to think of Paradise as a nature reserve and for this reason we do not allow pets or encourage fishing. Enjoy observing but please do not attempt to feed or handle any of the animals.
Most of the resident animals are reasonably relaxed with humans and will allow you to get quite close to photograph them if you move slowly and quietly.
Our resident population of Eastern Grey Kangaroos provide a wonderful opportunity to observe the large males boxing or the young joeys taking their first tentative jumps. They are an absolute delight and will provide hours of entertainment. Less regular visitors are the Swamp Wallabies, Wallaroos and Red shouldered wallabies.
The river provides a wonderful habitat for platypus, fish and a range of frog species. Echidnas and wombats also frequent the property.
